At the end of May this year, the report on the National Comprehensive Inspection of Civil Nuclear Facilities Safety, the Twelfth Five-Year Plan for Nuclear Safety and Prevention of Radioactive Pollution and the Vision for 2020, the Medium- and Long-Term Development Plan for Nuclear Power in 2020, and Nuclear Power "Safety Plan" and other four reports were submitted to the State Council's executive meeting. The first two have been passed, and the last two have also been approved by the State Council's executive meeting. The nuclear power project is expected to restart.
Zhang Kelin believes that future nuclear power projects will put forward higher requirements for nuclear power equipment and technology in aspects such as safety. It has been one and a half years since the State Council suspended the approval of nuclear power projects in March last year. This is precisely the period we have come to reflect on and work hard. Before it rains, we need to take care of it. Nuclear power equipment enterprises have only laid a solid foundation for breakthroughs in high-end technologies, so they can seize the strategic opportunity for the next wave of nuclear power projects to restart and take advantage of the situation.
