Spansion expands automotive flash product line

(NYSE: CODE) , the world's leading embedded market flash memory solution innovator, today announced the launch of six new automotive-grade flash memory devices, further expanding the company's automotive Flash product line. The new products from Spansion include three new serial flash NORs and three new NAND flash memories, and their capacity performance is optimized for the automotive industry's demanding temperature performance and quality.

Spansion has aggressively expanded its FL 1-K serial NOR flash family by introducing devices that meet automotive-grade quality and meet the automotive extended temperature range (-40°C to 125°C) with capacity density options of 16Mb, 32Mb, and 64Mb, respectively. In addition, Spansion has introduced automotive-grade ML-G1 NAND flash memory with a temperature range of -40°C to 105°C and capacity density options of 1Gb, 2Gb and 4Gb. The six new flash memory devices introduced above have passed AEC-Q100 quality certification and meet the requirements of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to meet the industry standards for automotive grade products.
