How does it reduce costs to one-tenth of industrial grades while still ensuring performance? According to the development team, in the past, traditional laser sensors ensure performance through high-precision optical and mechanical components, while they use relatively common and cheaper optical and mechanical components, but use advanced algorithmic processing to compensate for performance (please note) In recent years, many sensors have been taking such a route, using a unique algorithm for ordinary originals, typically such as LeapMotion. Plus there is no need to deal with industrial extremes. So the cost will come down at once.
Although it is impossible to deal with extreme conditions like industrial products, the performance of RPLidar is sufficient for ordinary living environment, and it is said that in some aspects, even the effect of low-end industrial-grade laser radar is achieved.
Robotic practitioners and enthusiasts Ajie booked and tried RPLidar in the first place.
