Liu Zhenya, general manager of the State Grid Corporation of China, said at the company's safety production conference on the 23rd that this year the grid is facing a severe situation in peak winter. Severe weather in winter will bring great challenges to the safe operation of the power grid. With the increase in energy saving and emission reduction efforts in the country, measures to shut down generators in some regions will result in a tight supply of electricity; Sex, these factors make the pressure of power supply security significantly increased.

According to statistics from the National Electric Power Dispatch and Communication Center, electricity generation and electricity consumption have increased significantly since the beginning of the winter. Among the five regional power grids and 26 provincial power grids operated by the State Grid, there are currently two regional power grids in the northeast and northwest, and eight provincial power grids in Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Shaanxi, Qinghai, Gansu, Xinjiang, and Tibet. Statistics also show that the current situation for the supply of coal is generally stable. As of November 20, the State Grid has adjusted coal inventories for 18 days. However, at the end of the year, the rising trend of coal prices was obvious. The follow-up situation of coal supply and demand remains to be seen.

The State Grid predicts that the balance of electricity supply and demand in China this winter, but the supply and demand of power in North China, East China and Central China will be tight, especially in the peak periods of power grids such as Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan, Shandong, Shanxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Chongqing.

Liu Zhenya said that the State Grid will take measures to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid. The first is to strengthen the analysis of electricity demand, deepen the refinement of operating arrangements, overall optimize the distribution of power supply, give play to the optimal allocation of resources for cross-regional power grids such as UHV AC/DC lines, organize and coordinate power distribution and power support, and ensure the orderly supply of electricity The second is to optimize reservoir operation, strictly control the reservoir water level, and give full play to the important role of hydropower peak output; third is to strengthen the operation and maintenance of equipment, to do a good job in response to winter snow and ice, large-scale strong cooling and other adverse weather related preventive measures; The power generation enterprises are urged to do a good job of purchasing, storing, and transporting coal, and ensure sufficient supply of electric coal.
