As these devices slowly enter our field of vision, it can be said that "intelligence" is an important trend in the future market.

The basic materials attached to the wearable device chain are various. The upstream end mainly includes sensors, flexible screens, amorphous alloys, processors and memories, batteries and other hardware components such as FPC. The middle reaches are mainly touch modules. Bone conduction headphones, MEMW microphones and receivers, voice interaction technology, mobile medical components, body-related products, wristbands, headsets and chassis software systems development; and downstream are finished manufacturers, such as well-known Google glasses, Apple iwatch, Microsoft smart watches and so on.

According to statistics, there are currently 23 listed companies in the field of wearable devices in China, which are different from those of foreign mainstream manufacturers. Among the listed companies in China, 19 companies are concentrated in the upper and middle reaches of the industrial chain, accounting for 82.6%.

Upstream core material: sensor

Six years ago, the smartphone market did not develop widely. The smartphone market was detonated by Apple's IPHONE. The essence of this is that the convenience brought by smart phones caters to people's needs, and wearable devices will extend the reach of information technology. To every corner of life, become a necessity.

Today's smartphones are feature-rich, but the screens are small and require hand-held operation, constraining the use of driving situations, and wearable devices will provide a solution for this. Smart glasses can output large screens, smart watches have an appropriate size input touch screen, and the most important difference is that it can naturally obtain information through the human body, and the human body is more convenient to wear.

Therefore, the flexible design of ergonomic touch screens and sensors for human body information collection are particularly important in the industry chain.

In a related research report of Shenyin Wanguo, MEMS sensors are the golden stones in the wearable device industry chain and the core of the upstream technology of the industry chain. This is indeed the case, because as a "core material" of intelligence, the high added value of MEMS sensors is an important basis for human-computer interaction. It can be said to be the most important direction of wearable technology innovation and future development potential, and also the hardware foundation of informationization.

According to statistics, there are a total of nine major listed companies on the upstream side of wearable devices. These include Goer Acoustics, Crystal Optoelectronics, Suzhou Gushu and Hanwei Electronics, which produce MEMS sensors and their accessories; Derun Electronics and Danbang Technology, which produce flexible concept components; Antai Technology and Yunhai Metal, which produce amorphous alloys; There are Desai batteries that produce batteries, processors and storage.

Among them, Goer Acoustics is the first to get involved in MEMS sensors. Goer Acoustics said that the company has been developing MEMS products very early. At present, MEMS microphone products have been introduced to the market, mainly for export to the international market. Its main customer is Apple. The company's layout of wearable devices, smart TVs and other fields, is expected to cut into the supply chain of large customers smart watches, smart glasses and smart TV related modules in the future.

Goer's products are located upstream of the global industrial chain, assembled and produced by third parties, and their products eventually flow to international manufacturers. This is also a microcosm of the wearable industry chain - there is no complete ecological chain yet.

One of the biggest problems faced by many domestic companies is the inability to integrate the industrial chain. Therefore, some people in the industry believe that the greatest value of wearable devices is to create an independent ecosystem and build a new hardware portal.

Midstream core substance: language control and interactive technology system

The convenience of wearable devices can be understood as direct liberation of hands. The voice control and interaction technology on the midstream nodes is the most important part of this link, and Chinese voice is an important technology.

In the middle reaches, how to achieve localization, how to cooperate with Chinese voice technology vendors will be an important step in the development of several giant wearable devices in the Chinese market. The domestic listed companies involved in voice control and interactive technology are mainly digital video of HKUST and physical interaction technology.

Followed by bone conduction headphones, the standard of future wearable device products, the main components are communication chips, sensors and micro-motors, the companies involved are mainly a total of electroacoustic, Goer acoustics, Hainengda; third is the wireless communication mode Group, the requirements for the stability and high efficiency of data transmission, the future LAN upgrade to the personal area network of Bluetooth, wifi or NFC and other wireless technology necklaces, the companies involved are Huanxu Electronics and Dahua Intelligent; Mobile medical components, including pedometers and handheld monitors, GPS and operational services, are also important extensions of wearables in the medical field, with major companies including Jiu'an Medical and Bao Laite.

Downstream core material: stand-alone system

The wearable downstream is the finished product, which is the familiar Google glasses, Samsung Sony's smart watches, Apple iwatch and so on.

At present, the major downstream manufacturers are monopolized by several foreign giants, and the domestic listed companies involved in such products are only Zhongying Electronics, Bao Laite, Jiu'an Medical and Fenda Technology.

It is worth mentioning here that the prospects for wearables in the fitness and sports, medical and health segments are generally optimistic.

In November 2010, in the first year after its listing, Jiu’an Medical established Jiu An Medical USA Co., Ltd. (iHealthLab., Inc.) with over-raised funds, with a registered capital of 8 million US dollars. It can be seen here that Jiu'an The medical layout of smart wearable devices began in November 2010, even earlier. The company's first Apple-matched product, the iHealth sphygmomanometer, is already available in the US.

On the smart watch this product, compared with foreign mainstream products, Guo Xiaobin, CEO of Shell Electronics, told reporters: "At present, smart watches such as Sony and Samsung can be called mobile phone partners, because they must be paired with mobile phones. The shell electronic smart watch realizes the function of independent operation. In addition to the call function on the mobile phone, other functions such as using communication tools, viewing weather, and sports can be realized independently."

This can also be understood as, in terms of product improvement, wearable device independent operation system development is the development direction.

The reporter learned that under the background that the aforementioned industrial chain is not highly integrated, the current operation mode of the fruit-shell electronic smart watch is similar to the millet mode.

“We independently develop and design, and then purchase parts in the global supply chain, such as purchasing LG's screen, Beijing Junzheng's chip, and then by third-party OEM production, we sell the final product.” Gu Xiaobin told reporters.

Talking about the bottleneck in the downstream of the industry chain, Gu Xiaobin told reporters: "The products are mainly stuck on the processor. The current bottleneck mainly involves the selection of the customer parts supply cycle and the selection of high-performance materials. The development and mass production of related components are away from us. There is still a long way to go, such as batteries with longer endurance and lower power processors."
