On March 13, the Hangzhou Municipal Government and China Putian Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. The first cooperation crystallization of this "marriage" is the landing of LED Industrial Park (Hongyan Electrical Energy Saving Lighting Industry Base) and Smart Lighting Research Institute.
It is understood that China Putian will support the construction of Hongyan Electric (Lin'an) energy-saving lighting industrial base, the project will acquire 180 acres of land, with a total investment of 500 million yuan. Before the end of 2012, the first phase of the project will be completed and put into operation, and the second phase of the project will be started as planned. Completed and put into operation before the end of 2013.
China Putian will also set up China Putian Wisdom Lighting Research Institute in Hangzhou. The total investment of the project is 200 million yuan, of which 100 million yuan will be invested in the first phase, and all the project support funds funded by Hangzhou Municipal Government will be invested in the construction of the institute. The institute will be established at the Wuyan Electrical Appliances Wuchang Production Base and form a research and development capability. When the conditions are ripe, the construction will start in Lin'an Qingshan Lake Science and Technology City.
In addition, the Hangzhou Municipal Government will give full play to the demonstration role of the “Ten Cities and Ten Thousand Cities†semiconductor lighting project pilot city and the construction of China's semiconductor lighting engineering high-tech industrialization base. Taking urban road lighting as an example, Hangzhou will be updated to LED street lights within 5~8 years. At present, only about 5% of the street lights in Hangzhou are LED street lights.
