This is an instant charging technology. StoreDot's laboratory has developed new molecules specifically designed for lithium-ion batteries to be quickly charged. In addition to the exclusive charger device, the user can charge the phone within 6 minutes, or 1 minute or even 30 seconds, depending on which charging mode is selected.

The most practical solution for the invention of the StoreDot was the selection of a 50 Abe charger, which had a charge rate 20 times faster than the current normal mode and could be fully charged in 6 minutes, called "x20".

"x20" is the easiest product StoreDot to use because it comes with a pocket-sized wall charger, but charging the phone faster requires it to be directly connected to the battery, while the "x100" is faster but requires the user to The power is increased to 200 watts, and it is necessary to drill holes on the back of the mobile phone. The appearance design violates certain principles. But think about being able to fill the power in seconds, these details don't seem to care too much.

StoreDot CEO Doron Myersdorf acknowledges that each solution has its own shortcomings and limitations. For example, the simplest "x20" mode also requires a special 20-pin plug, which is similar to the old iPhone and iPod connectors. Today, the industry is increasingly turning to the USB Type-C interface. In addition, the "x100" charger is larger than the average smartphone.

It is reported that the StoreDot charging scheme will increase the cost of smart phones by approximately $30. After a mid-point increase by mobile phone manufacturers and suppliers, users will probably charge more than $60 for this technology with rapid charging. However, Myersdorf said that there is still a large number of smart phone manufacturers show interest in StoreDot's technology - about $ 66 million in funding.

Myersdorf also stated that StoreDot is working hard to develop cheaper fast charging technology. He expects the first StoreDot battery to be available in 2017.
