However, with the rapid improvement of computing power, the encryption algorithms used will be gradually cracked. At this time, quantum communication came into being as a solution. With the indivisibility of single photons, the eavesdropper could not take half of its photons for information theft. At the same time, if the information is copied, the two parties can quickly perceive it, and another secure line can be selected to generate the password to realize secure quantum key distribution. With the help of quantum key distribution, we can implement an unbreakable encryption method based on quantum mechanics, which is unconditionally safe. In order to realize a wide-area quantum communication network, an ideal method is to first realize the metropolitan area network by using optical fiber, realize the wide area network by satellite, and connect the two cities by using a repeater to realize wide-area quantum communication.

So far, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Quantum Center has realized the integration of quantum communication terminals with the support of relevant departments. It can realize the unconditional security between LANs through exchange, and can also realize the promotion of quantum networks. The current capability can cover about 6000. The square kilometers of the city to support the needs of the thousand-node, 10,000-user main network, the technology of the metropolitan area network is now relatively mature. In order to realize wide-area quantum communication, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Quantum Center is implementing a large-scale fiber-optic backbone network project for the Beijing-Shanghai trunk line with the support of relevant state departments. Today is a very meaningful day. It has opened a network from Shanghai to Hefei. It will be used for bank and financial transaction analysis. It can also be used for remote disaster recovery of bank data and data disaster recovery in the same industry in the banking industry. With the support of the Science and Technology Special Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the wide-area quantum communication is working hard to complete the construction of the wide-area quantum system through the completion of the experimental task of the "Mozi" satellite.
