LED Taiwan factory Guanglei (2340) received orders for Zener diodes from Korean manufacturers' LED-backlit LCD TVs. In addition to already shipped, the company also expects capacity at the end of Q4 2010, which is doubled from Q4 in 2009, reaching 15 Billions.
Guanglei expands its silicon material product line capacity quarter by quarter, but its production capacity is still insufficient. The supply is far less than that required by the Korean factory. The order visibility can reach Q3 in 2010. Japanese manufacturers have signed a long-term supply contract with Guanglei in order to ensure supply.
