China's lighting industry status quo

Lighting industry has a special status and role in the national economy, because people's daily production and life are inseparable from lighting, lighting products can be said everywhere, whether it is factories, mines, cultural and sports facilities, shops, hospitals, schools And hundreds of millions of family homes need lighting. All kinds of motor vehicles, ships, aircraft and a large number of instruments and equipment must be equipped with appropriate lighting devices. Therefore, lighting products are necessary for the development of the national economy and people's lives. With the development of the national economy and the improvement of people's living standards, the demand for lighting products is also increasing.

Since the reform and opening up, especially in the past decade, China's lighting electrical industry has been a sustained, stable and rapid development. In 2004, the industry's sales have exceeded 120 billion yuan, and the export value reached 6.7 billion US dollars.

I. Business Situation

The state of the enterprise is characterized by a large number and an increase in scale.

By the end of 2001, there were 8,972 lighting appliances companies in the country, including 2001 electric light source companies, 4,644 lamps and lanterns, 686 lamp lamp holders, 1085 electric appliance accessories, and 556 other lighting products. The 8972 statistics are not complete, and all companies should have more than 10,000.

Although most of the nearly 10,000 companies are small and medium enterprises, some companies have gradually grown in recent years. At present, there are more than 100 companies with sales exceeding 100 million yuan. In addition, the diversification of the production and operation of enterprises, a considerable part of the company's production of light sources and lamps, while the production of ballasts, which is one of the reasons for the expansion of scale. There are also some well-known home appliance companies entering the lighting industry, these companies are very large in scale, using their capital, technology and market advantages to enter the lighting industry, the rapid expansion of scale.

In the past, domestic electric light source enterprises were mainly state-owned enterprises, and lamp manufacturing enterprises were mainly state-owned and collectively-owned. With the deepening of the reform of the enterprise property rights system, there are few state-owned enterprises, and private enterprises have developed rapidly. Some private enterprises have already passed through the stage of accumulation of primitive capital and are seeking further development. In the past year or so, due to the increase in raw material and energy prices, the economic efficiency of enterprises has declined.

Second, the industry structure

Based on the original industry structure, there have been new changes in recent years. Production companies are more concentrated in the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta. The original electric light source companies with more uniform distribution in various provinces in the country have changed greatly in recent years, especially in the northeast, northwest, southwest and other places, and the enterprises are gradually shrinking. Originally, there were only three provinces in Tibet, Hainan, and Ningxia without electricity light source production enterprises, and now they have increased to more than 10 provinces and cities. The main production companies are concentrated in coastal provinces and cities such as Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Fujian, and have formed some product special x regions.

Third, the product status

The main products are electric light sources, lamps and electrical accessories. The product variety is complete, and the overall product quality has been improved.

1. The product structure adjustment achieved remarkable results. Energy efficient light source products have been rapidly developed. Such as compact fluorescent lamps, T8 straight fluorescent lamps, T5 straight fluorescent lamps and fluorescent tubes, high-pressure sodium lamps, metal halide lamps. The ratio of fluorescent lamps to ordinary incandescent lamps reached 1:1.8, and the '15' plan (1:3.5 for the '15th Plan') had been completed ahead of schedule; traditional products such as incandescent lamps, automotive lamps, and halogen lamps showed steady growth.

2. Luminaire products have developed rapidly in recent years. Mainly reflected in the variety of interior decoration lamps variety, to meet the needs of the domestic and foreign markets. The main producing areas are concentrated in the Pearl River Delta, mainly in Zhongshan and Dongguan, and the prominent representative is Lampu Ancient Town. Indoor fluorescent lamps are very popular in the domestic market, including grille lights, brackets, downlights, etc. Guangdong is a major producer. In recent years, the rate of development of outdoor lamps has accelerated markedly. The business of street lamps and lampposts is booming, and the production areas are concentrated in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. In addition, the garden lights and lawn lights are also transformed from export to domestic and foreign sales. Because of the increase in the demand for environmental lighting in parks, green areas, and community landscapes in the construction of domestic cities.

3. Electrical accessories

In 2004, more than 500 million independent ballasts (excluding compact fluorescent ballasts) were produced nationwide, including 250 million fluorescent electronic ballasts, 260 million inductive ballasts, and 17 million HID ballasts. . In recent years, the development trend of fluorescent ballasts is the rapid growth of electronic ballasts. Currently, the output of electronic ballasts and ballasts in China is comparable, if more than one billion electronic ballasts for compact fluorescent lamps are to be Internally, the proportion of electronic ballasts will far exceed that of inductive ballasts; electronic ballasts in export products are more than inductive ballasts.
