The “Five Colored Stone” pipeline leakage monitoring system uses the method of monitoring the pressure wave, temperature, and flow rate at both ends of the pipeline to realize the alarm, which is based on the combination of “pressure wave” principle positioning and “traffic difference analysis”.
The so-called "pressure wave" principle means that when a leak suddenly occurs somewhere in the pipeline, a sudden pressure drop will occur at the leak, and this negative pressure fluctuation will propagate from the leak point to both ends at a certain speed. The sensor captures the waveform of a particular transient pressure drop, which is determined by software leaks.
